As a Largo animal hospital, we are fortunate to have access to highly skilled animal emergency hospitals. We know that nobody likes going to an emergency hospital, animal or human. Unfortunately, emergencies will occur. Emergency animal hospitals provide care and services that cannot be offered by a general small animal veterinary hospital.

A general veterinary practice cannot be staffed 24 hours a day and 7 days a week; however, an emergency animal hospital is staffed on holidays and after regular hours with at least one veterinarian and usually 2-3 highly trained veterinary technicians (nurses). An emergency animal hospital can provide the continued monitoring or treatment that might be needed.
